The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robot mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.
In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to map out your home.
1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, such as a dirt compartment that is integrated into the charging base. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the push of a button. You can choose a general clean that prioritizes cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice or two thorough maps of your space to ensure your entire home gets a proper look.
This robot vacuum performs well on both floors that are bare and carpets with low pile. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some others do, and it can even pick up pet hair with ease. It's a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets however iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to hug furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also has superior filtration, which prevents tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vac settings are as effective as those of higher-end models and its mopping feature is superior, as its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only issue is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a big deal when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is larger than many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the maximum dirt level.
In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub off hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two mopping modes that it has, which are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones create very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch TV without distraction. If it comes across the wall or a furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and moves forward.
What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. site -vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the hidden bin and also cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is wrong for example, low water levels or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo will treat your home. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's a lot of items that need to be cleared out regularly, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my test and was able to remove debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest drying them with a cloth before sending the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, plus an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also features a new sensor system that can better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still quite large. It is more than two feet in the height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're at home. It also has more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your house instead of simply following a predetermined path.
The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing the job well. It has a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of convenience features that you don't often see on robots at this price. It has the ability to create precise floor maps, recognize different types of flooring and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are great however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category, which might make it slightly more expensive than what some homeowners need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open the settings menu in which you can modify how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for households with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, removing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
